Pork Chop Suey Recipe
Pork chop suey is traditional chinese stew or soup like preparation that is most commonly served with pan fried noodles. Porl chopsuey is cooked with cubed and cooked pork, celery slices and water chestnuts, flavored with soy sauce and chicken bouillon.
Ingredients
1 cup thin bias-cut celery slices
1/2 cup sliced onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
4 teaspoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/2 5-ounce can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
1 cup cubed cooked pork
Hot cooked rice
Directions
In skillet, cook celery and onion in butter till tender crisp, 2 to 3 minutes.
Blend cornstarch into soy sauce.
Dissolve bouillon cube in 1 1/4 cups boiling water.
To skillet, add soycorn-starch mixture, bouillon, water chestnuts, and pork.
Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Serve over hot cooked rice
