Pork Turnovers Recipe
Ingredients
| Green pepper | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 2 cups chopped cooked pork | ||
| Applesauce | 1 8 Ounce | |
| 2 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard | ||
| Ground ginger | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Refrigerated biscuits package | 2 | |
Directions
In a medium saucepan cook green pepper and onion in butter or margarine till tender.
Remove from heat; stir in pork, applesauce, mustard, ginger, and salt.
On floured surface roll each biscuit to a 5-inch circle.
Place about 1/3 cup of the pork mixture on 6 of the dough rounds, spreading meat mixture to with in 1/2 inch of edge.
Top with remaining dough rounds.
Moisten and press edges together; seal with tines of fork.
Brush with milk and sprinkle with sesame seed, if desired.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Bake in a 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden brown
