Pork Strips In Cider Recipe
Ingredients
| Boneless pork | 1 pound | |
| Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Potatoes | 3 Medium, halved | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground allspice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 3/4 cup apple cider or juice | ||
| Apples | 2 Medium, peeled | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Partially freeze pork; thinly slice into bite-size strips.
Heat wok over high heat; add oil.
Brown half the pork at a time in hot oil.
Remove all from wok.
Drain off fat, reserving 1 tablespoon in wok.
Add onions to wok; stir-fry over medium-high heat 5 minutes.
Add potatoes, salt, allspice, and pepper; stir to combine.
Stir in pork.
Pour 1/2 cup of the cider over all.
Cover and simmer for 10 minutes; add apples and simmer 10 minutes longer or till meat and potatoes are tender.
Meanwhile, stir together remaining 1/4 cup cider and cornstarch.
Add to wok; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
