Ingredients
| 4 pork scallops (about 6 oz. [200 g.] each), pounded flat | ||
| Lard | 2 Tablespoon | |
| 2 medium-sized potatoes, thinly sliced | ||
| Onion | 1 Large, thinly sliced | |
| Caraway seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sour cream | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Fry the scallops briefly in the lard, over high heat, until lightly browned on both sides.
Mix the potato and onion slices together and put a layer of them in a buttered baking dish.
Season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds.
Put the scallops on top of the potato and onion layer.
Cover with the remaining potatoes and onions, season again, and pour on the sour cream.
Cover the dish tightly with its lid or foil and put into a preheated 350° F. [180° C] oven.
Bake for 40 minutes, without uncovering the dish.
