Pork In Sweet Sour Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 1/2 pounds lean boneless pork, cut into 1/2 inch cubes | ||
| Cooking oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Pineapple chunks | 1 15 1/4 Ounce | |
| Packed brown sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon | |
| 1 medium green pepper, cut into 1-inch squares | ||
| Hot cooked rice | ||
Directions
In large skillet brown the pork, half at a time, in hot oil.
Return all meat to skillet.
Add onion and 1/4 cup water.
Cover and simmer for 30 to 35 minutes.
Drain pineapple, reserving juice.
Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Blend in reserved pineapple juice, vinegar, and soy sauce.
Add to pork mixture along with green pepper; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
Stir in pineapple; heat through.
Return all meat to skillet.
