Pork Chops With Prunes Recipe
Ingredients
| 6 center-cut pork chops, cut 1 inch thick | ||
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| 1 cup cooked chopped prunes | ||
| 1/2 cup each of minced celery and finely chopped nuts | ||
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 thick slice of bread, cubed | ||
Directions
Sprinkle chops on both sides with salt and pepper.
With a sharp knife cut a pocket into side of each chop.
Mix remaining ingredients except cream and stuff mixture into chops.
Place chops in a skillet and brown on both sides.
Place chops in a well-greased casserole.
Cover and bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for 45 minutes, or until chops are tender.
Chops may be spread with sour cream just before serving.
