Pork Chops With Basil Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Garlic salt | To Taste | |
| Pork loin chops | 8 , trimmed | |
| Olive oil | 1 | |
| Chopped fresh basil/1/2 teaspoon dried basil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Marsala wine/Apricot/plum juice | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to slow (250° F.).
2. Combine flour and garlic salt in a paper bag, add the chops and toss
lightly until they are thoroughly coated with the mixture. Brown chops in a heavy skillet, using just enough olive oil to cover bottom of skillet. '
3. Arrange the chops neatly in a shallow ungreased baking dish without letting them overlap. Sprinkle with basil. Cover the dish closely with aluminum foil.
4. Bake until the chops are tender, about one and one-half hours. Skim off the fat. Add the wine or fruit juice to the baking dish, remove the cover and continue to cook, basting occasionally, until the liquid bubbles.
