Ingredients
1 tsp (5 ml) cornstarch
1/4 Cup (60 ml) water
3 tbsp (45 ml) vegetable oil
1 lb (450 g) pork, cut into strips
1/2 Cup (125 ml) diced celery
2 medium onions, sliced
14 oz (398 ml) canned or fresh bean sprouts, rinsed in cold water and drained
Salt and pepper
1/2 Cup (125 ml) water
3 tbsp (45 ml) soy sauce
Directions
– In a bowl, dissolve cornstarch in 1/4 cup (60 ml) water and set aside.
– In a skillet, heat oil and saute pork strips, celery, and onions. Add bean sprouts and season with salt and pepper, then stir.
– Add 1/2 cup (125 ml) water and soy sauce, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
– Add dissolved cornstarch, cover and cook 1 minute longer.
