Ingredients

 Pork chops8 1/2 inch
 4 cups toasted bread cubes
 1 1/2 cups chopped unpared apple
 Celery3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Onion3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Seedless raisins1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sage2 Teaspoon
 Salt1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Pepper1/4 Teaspoon
 Beef broth1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 large apple, cut in 8 wedges
 Salt To Taste
 Pepper To Taste

Directions

Trim excess fat from chops.
Slowly brown in small amount hot fat.
Season.
In 3-quart casserole, or Dutch oven, combine next 8 ingredients.
Add beef broth; toss lightly to moisten.
Place browned chops in ring atop dressing.
Cover and bake in moderate oven (350°) 1 hour or till tender.
Last 15 minutes place apple wedges between pork chops.
