Pork And Rice Bake Recipe
Ingredients
2 pounds pork shoulder blade steaks (1/2 inch thick)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup water
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can chicken broth, undiluted
1 cup uncooked long grain rice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup water
1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
Directions
Brown steaks on both sides in hot oil in a large skillet.
Add 1/4 cup water.
Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
Remove steaks from skillet.Stir broth, rice, onion, and 1 cup water into drippings; add steaks.
Cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
Stir in peas; cook 5 to 8 minutes.
Add 1/4 cup water.
Cover and simmer 45 minutes.
