Poppy Seed Filling Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/4 cup granulated fructose | ||
| Poppy seeds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cold water | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/4 tsp banana or butter rum flavoring | ||
Directions
Combine the 1/2 c. of water and the fructose in a small nonstick saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring until fructose is dissolved.
Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
Reduce heat and add ground poppy seeds.
Dissolve cornstarch in the cold water.
Add cornstarch solution, lemon juice, and cinnamon to poppy seed mixture.
Cook and stir until mixture is thickened.
Remove from heat, and stir in flavoring.
