Pommes Maxim Recipe Video
Here's another classic dish, which originated at Maxim's of Paris. The high starch content of Idaho® Russet potatoes when layered makes the potatoes stick together.

7 tablespoons unsalted butter

Directions
Trim a potato in a cylinder shape.
Slice a potato thinly.
Carefully arrange the potato slices in a circle, overlapping a circle at least halfway.
Do not soak or rinse the potatoes.
This dish is best made on a non stick surface.
Brush the circles generously with butter and season with salt and pepper.
Bake in 400 degree F. for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
Remember bottom of pommes maxim is presentation side.
This dish can be served with roasted meat.
