Polynesian Style Isander Ribs Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 to 4 Lbs. Beef Short Ribs or English Cut | ||
| Salt | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pineapple tidbits | 13 1/2 Ounce | |
| Catsup | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Green pepper | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), minced | |
| Brown sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Brown ribs in their own fat in Dutch oven.
Pour off drippings.
Sprinkle ribs with 1 tbs salt; cover and cook over very low heat for 1 1/2 hours.
Pour off drippings.
Combine undrained pineapple, catsup, vinegar, water, onion, green pepper, brown sugar, dry mustard and remaining salt and pour over ribs.
Cover and cook 30 minutes longer.
