Polka Dot Squares Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 6 Tablespoon, softened | |
| 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Semi-sweet chocolate chocolate chips | 6 Ounce | |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square pan. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add flour mixture and beat on low speed until batter is smooth, scraping down side of bowl frequently with a rubber spatula. Stir in chocolate chips. Turn into prepared pan, leveling surface.
3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out with a few moist crumbs clinging to it. Remove pan to a rack. Let cool completely in pan before cutting into 16 squares.
