Easy Poached Salmon Steaks Recipe
Ingredients
| Salmon | 4 Medium, pounded | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 4 sprigs fresh dill weed | ||
| Lemon Slices | 4 | |
| Black peppercorns | 5 To taste | |
| White wine or water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Mustard-Dill Sauce or Creamy | ||
| Cucumber Sauce | ||
Directions
1. Pat salmon steaks dry. Arrange fish, thickest parts to outside edges, in rectangular dish, 11 x 7 x 1 1/2 inches; sprinkle with salt. Place dill weed sprig and lemon slice on each. Add peppercorns; pour wine over fish.
2. Cover tightly and microwave on high 8 to 10 minutes, rotating dish 1/2 turn after 4 minutes, until fish flakes easily with fork. Let stand covered 3 minutes; drain. Serve hot with Mustard-Dill Sauce. Or cover and refrigerate about 2 hours or until chilled. Serve cold with Creamy Cucumber Sauce.
