Poached Pears with Strawberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
| 4 large ripe pears, peeled and cored | ||
| Apple Juice | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Granulated Sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| Orange rind | 1 Teaspoon, freshly grated | |
| 1/2 teaspoon lemon rind, freshly grated | ||
| 1/4 teaspoon cloves, ground Strawberry Sauce | ||
| Mint leaves | 4 | |
Directions
From bottom of each pear cut a small slice so pears will sit upright.
In a large saucepan combine apple juice, sugar, cinnamon, orange rind, lemon rind and cloves.
Bring to a boil over medium heat; reduce heat.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add pears; cover.
Poach for 20 minutes or until pears are tender.
Let stand in poaching liquid until cool.
Refrigerate until serving time.
To dessert plates remove pears with a slotted spoon.
Drizzle Strawberry Sauce over pears.
Garnish with mint leaves.
