Poached Dried Fruit Compote Recipe
Ingredients
8 ounces mixed dried fruit, such as apricots, pears, apples and prunes
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup white Riesling or Rhine wine
2 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
Directions
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat to low; simmer, uncovered, 12 to 15 minutes or until fruit is tender.
Cool.
Discard cinnamon sticks and cloves.
