Poached Bananas In Apple Juice Recipe
Ingredients
| Apple Juice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Raisins | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
| 4 firm ripe bananas, cut in half | ||
| 8 tsp nonfat plain yogurt | ||
Directions
Combine apple juice, raisins, vanilla, and cinnamon in a saucepan.
Bring to a light boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add bananas; then cover and simmer 6 to 8 minutes or until bananas are just tender.
Spoon each half banana into a small dessert bowl or plate.
Remove cinnamon stick from sauce.
Divide sauce evenly among the plates.
Top each plate with 1 tsp (15 mL) of yogurt.
