Plum Pudding Sauce Recipe
This plum pudding sauce is made with eggs and cream with cider for flavor. Made for plum puddings, this dessert sauce is a cooked sauce made with extra butter for oodles of creamy luxury for the palate!
Ingredients
| Butter | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cider | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Eggs | 2 | |
| 1/2 cup rich milk or cream | ||
Directions
Cream the butter and powdered sugar.
Add the cider and the well-beaten yolks of the eggs.
When well mixed, stir in the milk or cream.
Cook in a double boiler until it is as thick as a custard and then gradually pour it into the beaten whites of the eggs, beating constantly.
