Plum Pudding Recipe
This Plum Pudding makes an incredible evening snack! Try out this Plum Pudding anytime and tell me fi you like it !
Ingredients
4 cups raisins
1 cup chopped nuts
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
4 eggs
2 cups molasses
2 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup fruit juice
1 1/2 cups ground suet
2 1/2 cups fine whole wheat bread crumbs
2 teaspoons soda
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
Hard Sauce
Directions
Combine raisins and nuts with 1 cup of the flour.
Set aside.
Break eggs into Bosch bowl, and whip thoroughly.
Add molasses, buttermilk, and fruit juice.
Blend.
Add suet and bread crumbs.
Combine spices, salt, and remaining flour.
Add to the mixture.
Stir in raisins and nuts.
Divide into two 3 pound greased containers; shortening cans are good.
Cover tightly with foil.
Place each can in a large kettle of water, allowing the water to come two-thirds of the way up the side of the can.
Cover kettle, and keep water simmering over low heat for 3 hours.
Serve with Hard Sauce.
