Plum Drink Recipe

Wash fruit, removing stalks.
Cut up into pieces, discarding pips.
Cover with water, boil well till juice is extracted, then strain.
For every 3 cups juice allow 11/2 cups sugar, and boil juice and sugar together for 5 minutes.
Bottle and keep in the refrigerator.
To serve: fill glasses half-full with the plum syrup, then fill up with chilled milk, stirring •well.
The milk will curdle, but the plum drink will be delicious.

Hi Rajendra, the quantities are mentioned in the directions. You place plums in a pot and cover with water( quantity will depend on what you have) after cooking and straining juice, you measure juice and add approx 11/2 cups white sugar (this will depend on the acidity of the plums. Add more or less depending on how sour or sweet the plum juice is). This is a fantastic syrup which keeps well in the refrigerator.
