Plum Pudding Recipe
Plum Pudding is easy to make dessert. I had tired this Plum Pudding recipe last Christmas and it came out very well. Plum Pudding gets its taste from flour mixed with currants and apple, flavored with spices and topped with hard sauce. Plum Pudding is loved by many across the world.
Ingredients
3 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups raisins
1 cup peeled, chopped cooking apple
1 cup currants
1 cup molasses
1 cup cold water
1 cup finely chopped suet
Hard Sauce
Directions
Combine flour, soda, salt, and spices in a large bowl; stir well.
Stir in raisins, apple, and currants.
Combine molasses, water, and suet; add to dry ingredients, stirring well.
Spoon mixture into a well buttered 10 cup mold; cover tightly.
Place mold on shallow rack in a large, deep kettle with enough boiling water to come halfway up mold.
Cover kettle; steam pudding 3 hours in continuously boiling water
Unmold and serve with hard sauce
