Plum Peach and Nectarine Compote Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 large red plums, washed, pitted and halved | ||
| 2 peaches, washed, pitted, peeled and halved | ||
| 2 nectarines, washed, pitted, peeled and halved | ||
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dry red wine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon stick | 1 | |
Directions
Combine all ingredients.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Lift out fruit and put into glass dessert bowl.
Simmer juice for another 20 minutes to concentrate it.
Remove cinnamon stick.
Pour juice over fruit.
Chill.
Serve cold accompanied by a dish of sour cream or yogurt.
