Plum Ginger Barbecue Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Dark plums - 4 (about 3/4 pound), peeled, pitted and cut into 1-inch pieces | ||
| Ginger | 1 Tablespoon, finley grated | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| Hoisin sauce 3 tablespoons | ||
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cider vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Chives | 4 Tablespoon, chopped | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a saucepan, add all the ingredients except vinegar and chives.
2 Gently simmer the mixture.
3 Cover and cook stirring occasionally until the plums fall apart, about 20 minutes.
4 Stir in vinegar and simmer uncovered stirring regularly.
5 Cook until the sauce reaches the consistancy of ketchup, about 10 minutes.
6 Add in chives.
SERVING
7 Serve as desired.
