Pljeskavica - Meat Patties Recipe
This recipe is a favorite of mine comes froma doctor with whom I worked in Sofya-Bulgaria.
ORIGIN:
Dr. Maja Bustrec, Sofya-Bulgaria, circa 1994
Ingredients
3 lb Ground lamb pork veal &/or beef
6 tb Finely chopped onion
2 tb Minced parsley
2 tb Paprika sweet
2 ea Garlic clove minced
Salt & pepper to taste
Directions
Mix all together then allow to sit for 1-2 hrs.
Form into 8 patties.
Grill over charcoal until they are done.
Serve with chopped raw onions.

Love these, and especially when grilled over charcoal/wood fire, served with Lapinja and Ajvar is fabulous!
Instead of salt I do use Vegeta, a seasoning of dehydrated veggies and spices from Croatia and very popular in the Balkans and Eastern Europe. It comes in bulk containers or in shakers sans msg.
