 All purpose flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Pecans and walnuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Cinnamon1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Ginger1/4 Teaspoon
 Dash cloves
 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
 Boiling water3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/3 cup light molasses
 Soda1 1/2 Teaspoon
 Whipped Cheese Topping
 Lemon or Orange Sauce

Directions

Combine flour, sugar, pecans, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves, in mixing bowl.
Cut in butter until particles resemble coarse crumbs.
Press 2 cups crumbly mixture in bottom of 10x6-, 8x8- or 9-in round baking dish.
Combine water, molasses and soda; blend well.
Pour over crumbly mixture in dish.
Sprinkle with remaining crumbly mixture.
Place dish on inverted saucer in microwave oven.
Microwave at 50% (Medium) 6 minutes; rotate 1/4 turn every 2 or 3 minutes.
Increase power to High.
Microwave 2 to 6 minutes, or until top springs back when touched here and there, rotating 1/4 turn every minute.
Cool directly on countertop 10 minutes.
Serve warm topped with cheese topping and sauce.
