Plantains In Milk Recipe
Ingredients
| Plantains | 3 Large, peeled | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 3 thin slices mild Cheddar cheese, cubed | ||
| Cinnamon stick | 3 inch | |
Directions
Cut a deep slit in plantains from end to end, but do not split all the way through.
Melt butter in a skillet; brown plantains in butter for 2 to 3 minutes.
Fill slits with small cubes of cheese; sprinkle with sugar, add milk and cinnamon stick.
Cover simmer for 10 minutes.
Uncover.
Cook for 15 minutes longer
