Plain Scones Recipe
Do you want to eat plain scones but are alergic to eggs? Never again you will miss any great tastes of life due to your allergy. Baking mama will show you how to make scones as well as hundreds of other eggless baked goodies.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
pinch salt
2 oz. butter
4 level tspns. baking powder
3/4-cup milk (or half milk and half water)
Directions
Sift dry ingredients.
Rub in butter thorough- ly.
Mix to a soft dough with milk.
Pat out to 1/2" thick on a lightly floured board and cut into shapes.
Bake on a greased slide at 450° F for 10 minutes.
NOTE: Never add flour if mixture is too soft.
Simply sprinkle the board with cornflour and pat the dough into shape.
Variations: Cheese Scones: Add 1 cup grated cheese and 1 tspn, dry mus- tard (if liked) to the above recipe, before add- ing the liquid.
Sultana Scones: Add 1/2 -cup cleaned sultanas and 2 tblspns, sugar to dry ingredients.
