Plain Bavarian Cream Recipe
The plain bavarian cream is a delicious and vanilla flavored cream made with gelatin. Combined together and chilled, I like to serve the palin bavarian cream with mint leaves as garnish.
Ingredients
| Gelatin | 1 Ounce | |
| Cold water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 1 Pint, scalded | |
| Egg yolks | 4 | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 To taste | |
| Vanilla | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Heavy cream | 1 Pint |
Directions
MAKING
1.Soak the gelatin in cold water until soft.
2.Make custard of the milk, egg-yolks, sugar and flavoring.
3.Stir the softened gelatin into the hot custard.
4.When the gelatin has dissolved, strain and cool.
5.Whip the cream and fold it in as the mixture congeals.
SERVING
6.Garnish on cakes
