1 1/2 cups rice
 
Salt and fresh pepper to taste
 
3 cups water

Directions

Put rice into 6-8-cup casserole and add water and salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Turn to a simmer.
Cover.
Simmer 23 minutes.
Remove cover.
Fluff up with two forks.
