Plaice With Bananas Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 fillets of plaice | ||
| Bananas | 2 | |
| Butter | 2 Ounce | |
| Blanched almonds | 2 Ounce | |
| Lemon juice | 1 | |
Directions
Grease a shallow fireproof dish.
Put the fillets in this, dotted with a little butter, and sprinkled with half the lemon juice.
Cover and cook in moderate oven for 15 minutes.
Melt the rest of the butter in a frying pan.
Fry banana slices gently for about 3 minutes.
Put the fillets in a warm serving dish, and arrange fried banana over them.
Add remainder of lemon juice to the fat in the pan, and increase the heat.
Brown the almonds in the butter and lemon juice, pour over the fillets and serve at once.
