Pizza Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
2 tablespoons margarine
1 can tomato paste
2 onions, chopped
1 teaspoon each salt and sugar
1 green pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon each oregano and basil
2 garlic cloves, minced
Few drops hot pepper sauce
1 can tomatoes
Directions
Melt margarine in 10 inch skillet; add onions, green pepper and garlic; cook over moderate heat until vegetables are soft, not brown.
Add tomatoes and juice from can, tomato paste, salt, sugar, oregano, basil and hot pepper sauce.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer, covered, 30 minutes.
To make pizza: Prebake pizza crust in 350°F oven 5 minutes; spread generously with this sauce then top with a wide variety: shredded mozzarella cheese, sliced mushrooms, strips of green pepper, onion rings, pepperoni, crumbled bacon, anchovies, sliced olives, cherry tomatoes etc.
For a party, divide guests into groups and invite each of these to assemble their own pizza as they choose.
Bake near bottom of hot 425 degree oven 20 minutes, until pizza bubbles and begins to brown around the edges.
