Ingredients
Olive or salad oil - 3 tablespoons
Onion - 1 cup, sliced
Garlic - 1 clove, crushed
Italian plum tomatoes - 2 cans (15-oz size), undrained
Parsley - 1 tablespoon, chopped
Salt - 1-1/2 teaspoons
Dried oregano leaves - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Dried basil leaves - 1/4 teaspoon
Pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
Directions
MAKING
1. In hot oil in medium saucepan, saute onion and garlic until onion is golden—5 minutes.
2. Add rest of ingredients and bring to boiling.
3. Reduce heat simmer, uncovered, 25 minutes and stir occasionally.
SERVING
4. Use as sauce for 2 (14-inch) pizzas.
