Pizza Dough With Whole Wheat Flour Recipe
Ingredients
1 package active dry yeast
2/3 cup lukewarm water (105-115°F)
2 teaspoons sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup whole-wheat flour
Directions
Dissolve yeast in warm water in the proc essor bowl.
Add sugar, salt, oil, and all of the all-purpose flour.
Process with the metal blade for, 15 seconds.
Let rise for 30 minutes in the processor bowl.
Add whole-wheat flour and process until a ball forms on the blades.
Remove dough and knead on a floured surface for 1 minute.
Roll out into a large circle or rectangle to the desired thickness, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
Pinch up a rim around the edge.
Spread with the prepared Pizza Sauce mixture, shredded cheese, and desired top pings.
Bake in a preheated 400°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on thickness of crust.
Cut into wedges and serve immediately with a cool beverage or wine and a tossed salad.
Variation.
Pizza Dough with Enriched Flour: Substitute all-purpose flour for the whole-wheat flour
