Pizza Napoletana Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pizza dough, shaped into 2 circles | ||
| 8 medium-sized tomatoes, blanched, skinned and chopped | ||
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| 8 thin slices of mozzarella cheese | ||
| 8 anchovy fillets | ||
| 6 black olives, halved and pitted | ||
| Oregano | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| Olive oil | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
Lightly grease a large baking sheet.
Put the two pizza dough circles on the sheet.
Put half the tomatoes on each pizza and sprinkle with a little salt and lots of black pepper.
Put 4 slices of mozzarella cheese on each pizza and garnish with the anchovies and olives.
Sprinkle over the herbs and moisten with the olive oil.
Bake the pizzas for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.
Serve hot or cold.
