Pizza Alia Francescana Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 pizza dough, shaped into 2 circles | ||
| Olive oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Mushrooms | 2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| 4 medium-sized tomatoes, skinned and chopped | ||
| 6 slices prosciutto ham, cut into thin strips | ||
| Basil | 1 Teaspoon, chopped | |
| 8 thin slices mozzarella cheese | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 450°F (200°C).
Lightly grease a baking sheet.
Put the two pizza circles on the baking sheet.
Heat the oil in a small saucepan and add the mushrooms.
Fry for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add the tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the pan from the heat and spread half the mixture over each pizza.
Cover the mixture with the ham strips and sprinkle over the basil and plenty of salt and pepper.
Lay the cheese slices over the top.
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbling.
