Pistou Recipe
Finally an interesting and good recipe of Pistou has arrived. The French people couldn't have come up with a better dish than this Pistou, specially when it comes to culinary creativity. Ingredients
1-1/2 teaspoons minced fresh basil
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 ripe tomato, peeled, seeded and diced, or 1 teaspoon tomato paste
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan or Gruyere cheese
1/2 cup olive oil
Directions
Crush basil, garlic and tomato in mortar and transfer to soup tureen.
Blend in cheese and gradually add olive oil, beating constantly.
Remove one-third to a small serving bowl.
