Piquante Eggs Recipe

Ingredients
4 hard boiled eggs
1/2 pint white sauce
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 oz. margarine
2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 thinly sliced onions
2 tablespoons grated cheese
Directions
Heat the margarine and fry the sliced onions until just soft.
Put at the bottom of a dish with the shelled and halved hard boiled eggs on top.
Mix the tomato ketchup into the hot, but not boiling, white sauce.
Season well and pour over the eggs.
Top with grated cheese and breadcrumbs and brown in the oven or under the grill.
If wished a little chopped cooked bacon can be mixed with the onions.
