Pink Cinnamon Vanilla Custard Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
Generous dash cinnamon
Few drops red food coloring
Directions
Whisk together all ingredients in a 1 quart mold until well-blended.
Cover mold with aluminum foil and set on a trivet in the slow cooker.
Add boiling water to a depth of about 1 inch.
Cover and cook on high about 1 1/4 hours or until a knife inserted 1 inch from the mold sides comes out clean.
Serve warm or chilled.
Serve alone or spooned over sliced fresh fruit.
Do not over cook, or the network of egg and milk proteins will contract and water will separate out.
Variation: Make Honey Vanilla Custard by omitting cinnamon and using 1/3 cup honey in place of 1/4 cup sugar in preceding recipe
