pineapple upside down cake Recipe
Thinking of baking a pineapple upside down cake?Here is one of my pineapple upside down cake recipe,made easily & tastes wonderful.This one is made with brown sugar.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
8 maraschino cherries
1 can pineapple slices
1/2 teaspoon ginger
For Cake
1/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cup flour, sifted
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon desired flavoring: lemon, almond, orange, pineapple
1/2 cup milk
Directions
In a pan,heat butter, sugar, nuts, and ginger till a paste is made.Sprinkle brown sugar in a baking dish,arrange pineapple slices over it & place a cherry at the center of each pineapple slice.
Mix butter & sugar together till a fluffy mixture is formed,Mix beaten yolks,flour,baking powder,& salt together.
Add this mixture to the butter & sugar mix.Separately beat egg whites & fold it in the flour & butter batter gently.Once all the ingredients are mixed well,pour it over the pineapple that you had laid out in the baking dish.Bake at 375 degree until it is done.
Once the cake is baked,cool it for a while,pour out the cake upside down on a serving plate.
Serve it warm.
