Ingredients

| 2 tablespoons rum or kirsch (optional) | ||
| Sugar | 6 Tablespoon | |
| Almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
Directions
Peel pineapple and slice lengthwise into 3/4 inch wide sticks, discarding core.
Let marinate in liqueur, if desired.
Heat sugar in a small frying pan over medium high heat until it turns liquid and amber in color.
Add nuts and shake until coated.
Turn out at once onto a sheet of buttered foil.
With a buttered spatula, spread into a thin layer.
While still warm, cut into diamond shaped pieces.
Let cool.
Place 3 sticks of pineapple on a plate or in a goblet or wine glass and garnish with a praline diamond.
