Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients

 
6 pineapple rings, in juice
 
1 tsp margarine
 
1/4 cup Cary 's Sugar-Free Maple-Flavored Syrup
 
1 tsp granulated brown sugar
 
1 recipe Easy Pineapple Cake

Directions

Drain juice from pineapple rings.
Juice from rings can be used in the preparation of the "Easy Pineapple Cake" Melt margarine in an 8 in. (20 cm) round cake pan.
Brush melted margarine over sides and bottom of pan.
Cut pineapple rings in half and lay them decoratively on the bottom of the pan.
Pour maple syrup over pineapple rings; sprinkle with granulated brown sugar replacement.
Prepare cake as directed in recipe.
Pour batter over pineapple rings.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes or until tester inserted in middle comes out clean.
Immediately turn cake out onto a serving plate.
