Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Lean ground chicken - 1 lb. | ||
| Egg white | 1 | |
| Bottled teriyaki sauce - 1/4 c. | ||
| Onion | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Black pepper | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Prepared mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Fresh pineapple - 4 slices, 1/4-inch thick (or 4 canned slices, if desired) | ||
| Sesame seed hamburger buns - 4 | ||
| Nonfat cooking spray | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Lightly coat the grill with cooking spray and preheat for 5 minutes.
MAKING
2 In abowl, combine the chicken, egg white, teriyaki sauce, onion, pepper and mustard.
3 Mix well and shape into 4 patties.
4 Place the patties on the grill and cook for 3 minutes.
5 Place one slice of pineapple on each patty.
6 Grill for another 4-5 minutes or as per your prefearnce.
SERVING
7 Serve on sesame seed burger buns or over steamed brown rice.
