Pineapple Ham Plate With Basil Honey Recipe

 Salad oil1 Tablespoon
 6 ounces thinly sliced Canadian bacon

 1 tablespoon minced fresh basil or 1 1/2 teaspoons dry basil leaves
 1 peeled and cored pineapple
 2 medium-size kiwi fruit

Directions

In a 10- to 12-inch frying pan, combine oil and bacon.
Cook over medium-high heat, turning once, until lightly browned, 3 to 4 minutes total.
Meanwhile, mix the lime juice, honey, and minced basil.
Cut the pineapple crosswise into about 1/3-inch-thick slices.
Peel kiwi fruit and cut crosswise into 1/4 inch-thick slices.
Lay equal portions of the pineapple, kiwi, and bacon on 4 dinner plates.
Spoon lime juice mixture over fruit and meat.
Garnish with basil sprigs.
