Pineapple Burgers Recipe
Ingredients
2 pineapple spears or rings
1/2 lb. ground beef
Spicy Sauce:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup catsup
2 tbsp. prepared mustard in saucepan.
Directions
Drain pineapple well.
If using pineapple spears, divide meat into 2 patties; form around spears.
If using pineapple rings, divide meat into 4 thinner patties; place a ring between two patties, sealing edges.
Place burgers on rack 6" away from broiler unit; broil 5 min.
Turn; broil 5 min. more.
Pour Spicy Sauce over burgers.
Spicy Sauce: Blend 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup catsup, and 2 tbsp.
prepared mustard in saucepan.
Simmer 2 to 3 min.
