2 c. flour
 
1/2 c. white sugar
 
1 tsp. baking powder
 
1/4 tsp. salt

1 c. chopped dates
 
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
 
1 beaten egg
 
1 tsp. vanilla
 
2 tbsp. melted fat
 
1 can crushed pineapple
 
1 tsp. baking soda

Directions

1. Sift A ingredients into mixing bowl.
2. Add dates and nuts (B).
3. Combine egg, vanilla and fat.
4. Add to flour mix.
5. Dissolve soda in pineapple and add to mixture, and stir until blended.
6. Pour into greased pan and bake.
