Pilaf Rice Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, finely chopped | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1 cup rice 6 coriander seeds | ||
| 1 stick cinnamon or 1 1/2 teaspoons powdered cinnamon | ||
| 6 whole cloves or 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves | ||
| Water or stock | ||
Directions
Melt butter in frying pan; cook onion and garlic until soft.
Add rice; cook until rice begins to take on color.
Add coriander, cinnamon, and cloves.
Cover with water, with about 1/4 inch water above rice; simmer gently, covered, until done.
If necessary, add a bit of water from time to time to keep rice from sticking.
