Directions
Measure water into large mixing bowl.
Add 1 tsp.sugar.
Stir to dissolve.
Sprinkle yeast over water and let stand 10 minutes.
Stir well.
Stir in milk, 1 tbsp.sugar, shortening, salt and half the flour.
Mix until smooth.
Add enough of remaining flour to mak
