Ingredients
1 medium sized onion, sliced
1 3/4 cups white vinegar
3/4 cup water
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
5 peppercorns
1 whole clove
1/4 teaspoon dill seed
Piece of ginger root
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
18 hard cooked eggs, peeled
Directions
Combine onion and remaining ingredients except eggs in a saucepan; bring to boiling and simmer about 5 minutes.
Put the eggs into two 1 quart jars; pour half the vinegar mixture over eggs in each jar.
Cover jars, cool, and refrigerate at least overnight to develop flavor.
(Eggs may be kept in refrigerator up to 2 weeks.)
