Ingredients

 Water3 Cup (16 tbs)
 6-8 complete heads of garlic, skin left on
 White rice vinegar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar3 Tablespoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Bay Leaf1

Directions

Bring water to the boil in a pan, add the garlic and remove from the heat.
Add remaining ingredients and leave to cool.
Put garlic in a covered jar, top with liquid and marinate for 3 days before using.
Drain and serve as an accompaniment or appetiser.
